Jab Blog kiya toh darna kya #BloggingIsMyCalling

What's me without blogging is like asking what's Coco without Chanel...

Name: Megha Shrimali
Relationship Status: Married to Blogging

What started as a personal diary almost 2 years back has come a really long way. What was once about writing my thoughts has grown up to be a lifestyle-personal and fashion blog. I call it - A Li'l of Everything; it lets me pour out my thoughts on anything & everything possible under the sun - be it about my city Mumbai, my College Memories, Relationships, Family and Love, Book Reviews, my interests and hobbies, Fashion, Product reviews, food (only sometimes, because I am busy eating it the rest of the time) ...

I love blogging, It takes me away from the chaos and monotony. It gives me a reason to 'write' and let go off things when I am down, a reason to 'write' and cheer up when life seems better and a reason celebrate the perfect matrimony of me and my blogging world!

"When you have a brother you don't need a Superhero
When you blog, you have a reason to live once more!"

There might be innumerable reasons to why I started blogging and I am glad I did. There’s a lot which blogging has taught me; interaction with readers, reaching out to them, writing without the fear of judging and criticism, improving on your ideas and blogging better next time. When you get comments and good reviews; things become all the more interesting in the blogging world :)

My love for blogging is unexplainable; it gives me a platform to express, it keeps me busy, it keeps me thinking, it makes me feel excited about my otherwise chaotic life, it gives me a reason to cherish little things in life, it gives me the power to pen down my thoughts even when I am travelling – blogging goes where I go, constantly walking each step with me and not following me or moving ahead.
I love blogging because it is like a life partner who eves no time or time for you, annoys you to the extremes, doesn't let you sleep but is there always to be the guiding light – that’s “A Li’l of Everything” to me, my everything <3

#BloggingIsMyCalling because...
Jo baat Blogging mai hai, woh kisi aur mai kahan
Jo pyaar Blogging se hai, woh aur kisi se kahan
Because...
Jab Blog kiya toh darna kya <3

Did you take your Pro-Green Oath? #ProGreenDay - an initiative by The Nature's Co.

Do your little bit of good where you are. It's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world. - Desmond Tutu

15th of September every year is marked as the Pro-Green Day, The Nature's Co. overarching movement under which several Eco-friendly initiatives are executed. To start with, a recycling program called Eco barrel was instituted. This encouraged customers to return empty product containers in return for upto 10% discount on their next purchase minimizing The Nature’s Co.'s waste production. They also encourage customers to choose e-billing as a replacement for paper invoices in an effort to save paper. Distributing sapling and seeds and many more initiatives have been our small ways to create a bigger change. The Nature's Co. has tied up with several NGO's like Akanksha NGO, OASIS, Valaya Magic Foundation, Greenpeace, and many more for this.

Keeping the good spirit going, this year TNC does their bit by initiating the Pro Green Oath. These oaths are going to be distributed at all The Nature's Co. stores on the 15th of September . Each oath mentions a simple task as a way for the doer to do their bit for Mother Nature and humanity. These tasks will be very doable & simple things like watering a plant / tree in your vicinity or switching off all the lights and fans before you leave your room, which can be practiced in one's day to day routine. By the acceptance of this oath one will be vowing by the completion of the deed in full spirit. Once the good deed is done, the oath can be passed on to spread the cycle of good deeds and gives everyone a chance to participate.

To further boost the zeal, The Nature's Co. has arranged for hampers and gifts for the participants who create the longest Pro-Green Oath chain. Customers can also avail a 15% discount on Pro-Green Merchandise which is a special range launched by The Nature's Co. consisting of the very-cute Mini Garden, Neem Pencil and the Pro-Green Band.

Childhood - I am never gonna say goodbye [Guest Post]

Guest post

I think i represent any Indian who is living out there everywhere.
I live like them, I have same taste, nature, culture, the thought process and this is how I feel about me. A claimed you is me.

I remember telling my friend once -
"You are Me, I am you ...AS LONG AS WE ARE WE"

I just said it like that, in some conversation, later i thought about it that how beautiful is this vision. i loved it.

I always have felt that i have been so blessed that i have got such a nice upbringing and my childhood  was so fun filled. we were a tight family with so many siblings and friends. That made me feel the emotions and bond of relations.

I always cherish my memories from childhood, it helps me stay grounded. How easy it was then, a new pencil-box was the only thing to wish for and a new game fight was the only reason to cry about. i will never talk to you again was
something which lasted from 2 minutes and sharing cookies will make you friends with anyone easily.

So when i have a bunch of flowers which can spread the sweet fragrance in my life from the past i am sure to never say goodbye to it. One of those memory is related to swings and walks. I just love the idea of going on walks, i don't know how it sounds to others but seriously, it is something which keeps me healthy and it is my time off from everyone, everything around.

I use this time as a recreation session or  "Solitude time" when i am me. I will enjoy the rides of swings, will walk on the grass, on road , will listen to music and will give myself a treat of ice-cream if i am in bad mood or stressed.
I may listen to the kids in the park..talk to them about anything random.

So this is my small list of to do ;)
which keeps me going...

And song for this post is a favorite from my songlist.
"I am never gonna say Goodbye" - by WESTLIFE.

Do let me know about something that you do or did and never wanna say goodbye to...

This is beautiful :)

A beautiful poem twined by all the more beautiful words. Written by - Margaret Atwood

I would like to watch you sleeping,
which may not happen.
I would like to watch you,
sleeping. I would like to sleep
with you, to enter
your sleep as its smooth dark wave
slides over my head

and walk with you through that lucent
wavering forest of bluegreen leaves
with its watery sun & three moons
towards the cave where you must descend,
towards your worst fear

I would like to give you the silver
branch, the small white flower, the one
word that will protect you
from the grief at the center
of your dream, from the grief
at the center I would like to follow
you up the long stairway
again & become
the boat that would row you back
carefully, a flame
in two cupped hands
to where your body lies
beside me, and as you enter
it as easily as breathing in

I would like to be the air
that inhabits you for a moment
only. I would like to be that unnoticed
& that necessary.
