5 ways to style your midi skirt!

It is that time of the year when you finally take out all those skirts from the wardrobe. Skirts take one back to the 70s and 80s and there are plenty of ways to style one!

Let’s get into my ‘5 ways to style your midi skirt’. Yes! The Midi Skirt, my recent love. Now is the moment and it fits the season perfectly. Either you wear them with crisp collar shirts and ballerinas for work or team up with a crop top for cocktail evenings.

For the Mornings

I bought this denim top a year back from Elco Market. It was something I was looking for. A knot in front, something which not just goes with denim shorts and jeans but also skirts. Paired up with sneakers, the idea is to fit the morning perfectly. A playful, carefree morning with a sling bag from India Circus. Don’t they look cute together?

How about an office look?

If you ask me, I have got bored of the regular office look. How about we play around with it a bit and add style? Pick up a crisp shirt from your wardrobe, any colour! Throw this look together with a pair of ballerinas and believe me, the day will look all freshened up. A comfortable yet stylish boardroom look, what do you think?

To add, I have a box clutch here which one can even wear as a sling. It is one of my favorite bags (Wanderlust hint, see that? Stamps and stuff.)

For the evenings

For a fun evening ahead, pair your midi skirt with a full sleeve top and a backpack and a Chic look is all yours. Don’t ask me where I bought that top from. It is some 10 years old, yes. Don’t believe me?

I particularly love the closed neck of it, team up with long earrings and you are good to go!

Late evenings and that cocktail dinner party

A form fitting, high-neck top, heels, clutch and midi skirt – perfect late evening/night look. I have kept the look simple yet elegant here. Throw some colors on with a red lipstick. Super girly and you are guaranteed a fun night!

You can’t say NO to Crop top

Nothing defines a midi skirt better than a crop top. Amp up your wardrobe with back to basics with this crop top & midi skirt. Crop tops have definitely got a chic update! What say? Will you try this look? Team up with wedges and tie up your hair for a change.

Orange is the new black #TipTipBarsaFashion

Waking up to the pitter patter of Rain is divine. Being a Monsoon baby, I love when it Rains..be it anywhere and anytime. Yes, I do complain when trains get stuck or when there's muck around but the beauty of Monsoon is miles apart from all this. 

When it comes to what to wear in Monsoon, I like to go for something which is comfortable, light, colorful and easy to carry. Monsoon asks for hassle-free happy clothing and that's what I believe in.

Few days back, I told you all about my amazing shopping experience at the Inorbit Mall, Malad. I created a Monsoon look and promised that will be back with an outfit post for the same. 

Health has been giving troubles and hence roped in my sister to pose for this post :) Go on, check out...

The whole look has been shopped from Only India, Inorbit Mall - except the accessories. Since a long time I was thinking of adding orange to my wardrobe, and here you go. And, one can never get enough of stripes. These Ankle length Only India stripes Pants are super comfortable and can be paired with multiple colored tops.

The color combination is Bold, Flirtatious, vivid with hints of sky colors making it compliment Monsoon :)

Monsoon date with Inorbit Mall #TipTipBarsaFashion

Few weeks back I had a perfect monsoon date with Fashion at Inorbit Mall, Malad. Four Fashion bloggers including me were selected to create a perfect monsoon look and enjoy our shopping experience #TipTipBarsaFashion. Now, who would say No to shopping? not me..

This is what I wore to the Event, love my Jumpsuit!

We were given a shopping budget of 5K to put up a monsoon look by spending smart, creating the look in least time and money. We started off, the time given was 90 minutes, well yes... not fair, right? Sigh.

There was no limit on which brands to shop from and you can imagine how difficult it would have been for us! Inorbit Malad is a hub of shopping destination with innumerable brands. 

After a lot of running from shop to shop with the help of fellow bloggers (Esp. Zubi) and friend Sudeep.

Here's what I threw in together to create my carefree comfy colorful Monsoon Look.

After completing our look, we moved to Clinque to learn about Monsoon skin care and makeup. How amazing! :)

Little details on daily skin regime according to skin types were taken care of along with individual queries. 

Post the session, we received a goodie bag with free samples from Clinique. I love the lipstick shade, was looking for the same since days! Like it?

and here's my summer love from India Circus :D

I opened it and It was 'wao! this is beautiful'. The first thing which catches your attention is the design on the bag. It’s like carrying a youthful India into your style. It is bright, young and opulent. I found it feminine and fun.

The sling bag which is perfect to carry my daily essentials :)

You can style your sling bags in more than one way. Be it with a summer dress, white crisp shirt and shorts, with a floral skirt or even your regular denims.

Here, I have styled the sling bag with a summer dress I recently got from the Delhi.

Minus points - I would have really loved shorter shoulder straps. I found them pretty long. 

Second, the flap closure in front should either have a magnet button or other hold. It tends to open too easily when and if too much you try and put in.
