In a first ever alliance, The Bombay Store has tied up with Elephant Parade®, an international social enterprise with a unique combination of art, business and conservation. The Bombay Store has become the first Indian retail brand to be associated with Elephant Parade. Elephant Parade conducts the world’s largest open-air art exhibition of decorated elephant statues that seeks to attract public awareness and support for Asian elephant conservation. Created by local and international artists, each elephant is a unique piece of art. 20% of Elephant Parade profits are donated to The Asian Elephant Foundation. The Asian Elephant Foundation then distributes monies raised to various projects and organizations in the 13 Asian range countries.

Effectively pertaining to its Corporate Social Responsibility, The Bombay Store has tied up with ‘Elephant Parade’ as their exclusive retail partner in India. Elephant Parade has already spread its wings to more than 10 countries with each open-air art exhibition gathering a lot of supporters.

The Founder of the Elephant Parade, Mike Spits quotes, “We are glad to be associated with a prestigious brand like The Bombay Store. I am sure we would be able to convert this initiative into a global movement in India too. Our open-air art exhibitions create millions of smiles and raise awareness of the need for elephant conservation. We are happy to be present in India through our merchandise at The Bombay Store. We are confident that we will create a lot of supporters for Asian Elephants in India.”

On this exclusive tie-up, Asim Dalal, MD, The Bombay Store, shares his views and quotes, “To be associated with Elephant Parade and their mission is an honor for us. It is our pleasure to associate ourselves with a global cause like Elephant Conservation. The unison seems apt as The Bombay Store’s logo too has an elephant. I will appeal to everybody to be part of this cause by buying the merchandise available at all the Mumbai outlets of The Bombay Store.”

The unique feature of this merchandise is the painting done on each elephant. Elephant with the name “Ganesh” is painted just like our favorite God Ganesha.
