Garnier Fructis – Triple Nutrition Shampoo and Conditioner Review

I woke up to incessant rains this morning and let me tell you, I was really happy to welcome it. Considering the bad weather we have been living in since the past few months, when it rained a minute and left hours of treacherous heat and sun behind. It is not only our skin and inner health that requires attention but also our hair. Pollution has gone up as well and so has the unhygienic conditions around us. How do you take care of yourself midst all this?

My hair has been on a downhill since quite some time. Apart from my regular Oriflame Shampoo, I also use Garnier Fructis which kicks in my hair and moisturises it quite well.

What the product claims
Fructis Triple Nutrition's triple restoring action formula, infused with 3 oils: Avocado, Olive, Almond, intensely transforms dry to very dry hair with 3X nourishing moisture* for stronger, smoother, shinier hair. No weigh down. No greasy feel.

The product comes with a flip cap. Bottle is easy to hold and carry. The fragrance is like other Fructis shampoos. In this weather, when all the sweat builds up in the hair, this shampoo works really well in removing the oil and dirt off my scalp.

Since I shampoo only once or max twice a week, needing a shampoo which fairs quick is only fair.

Pros:
  • Controls frizzy hair
  • Conditions
  • Good fragrance which stays for 2 days sometimes
  • Hair feels softer
Cons:
  • Runny texture
Do tell me if you pick this one off the shelf. Don't forget to take care of your mane this Monsoon :)

Love,

Hearing Disorders and what’s Cochlear?

Clear speech and expression are an important trait of communication. And to speak well, one needs to hear well. According to Cochlear, over 90% of hearing impaired children are born to hearing parents and nearly one out of every 3 people over 65 years are affected by hearing loss globally. Shocking statistics?

They surely are to me.

Last weekend, I got a chance to be a part of Cochlear India’s ‘Cochlear Celebration’ event. The event not only gave me the opportunity to know about hearing loss but I also explored how technology has evolved through innovation in the field of health and medicine which is bringing sound in the lives of many.

Facts:

  • 32 million children live with disabling hearing loss.
  • 60% of child hood hearing loss is preventable.
At Cochlear India, the team believes that one day everyone deserves to be able to hear and enjoy sounds like they are meant to be enjoyed through CochlearTM Implants.

What is a Cochlear
TM implant?

A Cochlear
TM implant is an electronic medical device that replaces the function of a damaged inner ear. A CochlearTM implant is not a hearing aid which makes external sounds louder but a device that is surgically placed inside, carrying sound signal to your brain.

Getting a CochlearTM implant is the BEST decision
  • B - Bilateral implantation - Hearing is more natural when you can hear from both the ears.
  • E - Early intervention - Earlier the better! One can get the implant even at a tender age of 12 months.
  • S - Smart hearing partner - This is where CochlearTM plays its role
  • T – Therapy - Speech and language

Cochlear’s latest innovation is their newest and an advanced sound processor KANSOTM. It works by detecting sounds which are then turned into electrical signals by the receiver-stimulator. These are then sent to the brain by the electrodes placed in the inner ear (cochlea). Here’s a video to explain more about Kanso:

Doctors and Professionals not only help to diagnose the hearing loss, possible causes and treatment but also aid parents with the decision of surgery, on importance of extra care and counselling.

At the Cochlear Celebration event, we learnt that these Professionals spend quality time with families to reflect on what has happened. Therapists and Audiologists help to acknowledge the situation and aid with timely speech and language therapy for the child’s complete growth.
